  17. <p>    When the new record book comes out in January, Ben Johnson,
  18. who lost his 1988 Olympic gold medal for using anabolic
  19. steroids, will not be listed as the world's fastest human. Last
  20. week authorities stripped the Canadian runner of his record
  21. times in three earlier events after he admitted using the drug
  22. since 1981. He is, however, still a contender. Johnson, says his
  23. attorney Edward Futerman, wants to "run again and win clean."
  24. For now, his 100-meter-dash crown goes to Carl Lewis.
